What ages are Harmony Explorers classes for?
Ages 3 to 5, determined as of the first day of the session. Children who reach the upper age limit during a session may finish out the session they’re enrolled in. Placement exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis based on developmental readiness and available class space.
How does registration work?
When we receive your registration, we’ll do everything we can to place you in your requested class. We’ll contact you as soon as possible if we can’t. Late registrations are welcome and pro-rated until the 4th week of class.
What if my preferred class is full?
Families select a second-choice class time at registration. If your first choice doesn’t meet the minimum enrollment of 4 students or becomes full, we’ll place your child in your second choice or the next best schedule match. Classes that fall below the minimum mid-session may be redistributed to other class times.
Do you have a waitlist?
Yes — joining is free. Openings are offered in the order received, and families have 48 hours to accept before the spot passes to the next family. A seat isn’t guaranteed until registration and payment are complete.
Do siblings get priority?
Yes. Currently enrolled families receive priority registration before enrollment opens to the general public, including sibling registration. When possible, siblings may receive priority placement in the same class. Each child must be individually enrolled. We may recommend separate placements based on age or developmental readiness when appropriate.

Why doesn’t monthly tuition change based on class count?
Our 10-week program has a total tuition of $387, which is divided into three equal monthly payments of $129 over the duration of the 10-week session. Your monthly payment covers enrollment in the entire 10-week program and reserves your child's place in class for the full session.
Because each session includes 10 classes, the number of classes in a given month may vary due to the session schedule, start and end dates, or holidays. This flat monthly tuition keeps payments consistent and predictable over the duration of the session.
A one-time $25 registration fee applies upon your first enrollment.
What if my payment is declined?
We’ll reach out so we can reprocess the payment or update your information. If we can’t resolve it within 7 days, your child’s spot may be paused, and we may need to release the spot to a waitlisted family. We’ll always communicate with you first.

What if my child misses a class?
Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance, so we don’t issue credits or refunds for missed classes — but you can use a makeup! Enrolled students may schedule up to two (2) makeups per semester.
How do I schedule a makeup?
Visit our makeup scheduler to view available classes and reserve a spot. Makeups can be with any teacher, class type, or Harmony Explorers location with space available. We recommend choosing one in the same calendar week as the missed class so the curriculum lines up.
Are there limits on makeups?
Yes — classes can host up to two (2) additional makeup students per session, first-come, first-served. Advance scheduling is required, space isn’t guaranteed, and unused makeups don’t carry over to future semesters.
What if the teacher has to cancel class?
If we cancel for weather, facility issues, public health restrictions, or a teacher’s illness with no sub available, we’ll do our best to extend the module to an 11th week. If no alternate is offered, you can schedule a makeup without it counting against your semester allotment.
What if we’re running late?
After 10 minutes, you may be asked to observe rather than join until the next transition point. After 15 minutes, you may not be able to join in progress — but you can schedule a makeup if you have one available. Please enter quietly at all times.

Can I bring a guest?
Yes! Guests are welcome for a one-time drop-in for a $35 fee. Please arrange in advance with your teacher so we can confirm space and prepare to welcome them.
What if my child is having a tough class?
We get it — toddlers are toddlers! If a child is overstimulated or having a hard moment (misuse of instruments, leaving the activity area, vocal outbursts), parents are welcome to step out until they’re ready to return. We encourage family participation, but you’re also welcome to just sit and watch.
What about shoes and food?
All carpeted areas are shoe-free; adults wear socks. Please save food and drinks for outside the classroom.
Can I take photos during class?
Briefly! We encourage you to stay engaged with your child rather than documenting the class, but you're welcome to step aside, snap a quick picture, and rejoin. Please be mindful of families who prefer not to be photographed.
What about phones?
Please silence and put devices away so you can stay present with your child. If you need to take a call, simply step outside and return when you're finished.
When should we stay home?
Please don’t attend if you or your child has had a fever within the last 24 hours, rashes, greenish nasal discharge, excessive coughing, or a communicable illness. Use a makeup when illness keeps you home
What about allergies?
Please let us know at registration if your family has food, latex, or environmental allergies so we can be aware and consider reasonable accommodations. We don’t serve food during class. Since Harmony Explorers is a parent-participation program, the adult attending (or nearby in the waiting area) is responsible for monitoring their child and administering any medications.
Are instruments cleaned between classes?
Yes — shared instruments, props, and high-touch items are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Hand sanitizer may be available; please supervise young children if they use it. While we take reasonable precautions, group classes do involve interaction with other families, and we cannot guarantee a germ-free environment.
What about drop-off and pick-up?
A parent, guardian, or designated caregiver must remain on-site during class — Harmony Explorers is not a daycare. Children may only leave with the adult accompanying them. Arrive a few minutes early and please plan to depart promptly after class.

How will we hear from you?
Email is our primary channel for routine announcements, registration info, and schedule updates. SMS is used for urgent notices like weather-related closures or last-minute changes. Please keep your contact info current.
Do you offer progress reports?
Since Harmony Explorers focuses on early childhood development through shared musical experiences, we don’t issue formal progress reports. Chat with your teacher anytime about your child’s participation, growth, and developmental milestones.

Can I post videos of class on social media?
You’re welcome to photograph or briefly video your own child for personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t record teacher-led instruction, demonstrations, or substantial portions of a class. When posting, please respect other families by not sharing photos or videos that clearly identify another child without their parent’s permission. Tag us — we love to see! We do reserve the right to request removal of content that violates these guidelines.
